Risk Manager (NL/ENG)

Your chance to take on a role with variety and challenge in the Risk Team at KBC Securities NV. It's a great opportunity to get to know the workings of an investment bank in depth and discover which risks impinge on our operations and how we mitigate them.

KBC Securities NV offers a wide range of services:

• Advice on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and financing in the public (ECM) or private capital markets;


• Deal room activities, with a focus on equities and bonds;


• Investment services, in particular the development and management of investment funds (growth capital).

As our new Risk Manager (second-line risk management), you will come into contact with all (sub)categories of operational and financial risk within our broad range of services and will perform a wide and varied range of tasks. You will report to the Chief Risk Officer.

You can expect each day to bring different challenges, and will be working closely with your immediate colleagues, the Local Operational Risk Manager, the Compliance Team and KBC Bank's Risk Competence Centres. In carrying out your duties, you can count on interesting conversations with colleagues from across the organisation.

• You will apply risk controls in accordance with our group-wide risk frameworks.


• You will help ensure that we operate with the appropriate set of controls to mitigate the risks to which KBC Securities is exposed.


• To raise control awareness among employees and senior management, you will proactively build relationships and engage with colleagues.


• You work accurately, systematically and in a solution-focused way.


• You will compile well-prepared, accurate presentations and reports on findings, both for employees and for management and the Board of Directors.


• You have good process and project management skills


• You have a dynamic personality and you are prepared for constantly changing responsibilities, as well as short deadlines, and you are able to your work efficiently even under time pressure.
