Reporting to the General Manager of STEF Belgium, a member of the country's management committee, you will be responsible for driving and coordinating the quality, safety, health and environment policy for all for all wharehouse in the country. You are the guarantor of compliance with regulatory standards and the company's strategic orientations in terms of QHSE.

QHSE DIRECTOR F/H/X

Job description

By coordinating QHSE relays within our sites, you will be in charge of the following missions :

  • Regulatory Compliance Management

    • Ensure compliance with Belgian and European QSHE regulations in all company activities.

    • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, adapt policies and procedures.





  • Development of QSHE policies and procedures

    • Develop, implement and maintain effective and efficient QSHE policies and procedures.

    • Ensure that policies and procedures are communicated to all levels of the organization and that staff are trained to comply with them.





  • Risk management

    • Identify risks to quality, safety, hygiene and the environment in transport and logistics operations

    • Implement preventive and corrective measures to minimize risks and ensure the safety of employees, customers and the environment.





  • Continuous improvement

    • Oversee internal and external audit processes to assess the effectiveness of QSHE systems.

    • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the company's QSHE performance.





  • Communication and Outreach

    • Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders on relevant QSHE issues.

    • Ensure staff awareness and training on QSHE best practices and foster a culture of safety and quality within the organization.





Profile

Your profile?

  • University degree in a relevant field (engineering, environmental sciences, etc.).

  • Solid experience in the QSHE field, preferably in the transport and logistics sector.

  • Significant experience (minimum 10 years) in cross-functional management, team management, and project management.

  • You can communicate in French, English and Dutch.

  • Recognized communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • In-depth knowledge of Belgian and European QSHE legislation.

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
