Procurement Specialist

Job description

We look at reinforcing the Credendo Procurement team with a Procurement Specialist focusing mainly on Non-ICT spend categories with affinity for ICT categories.
  
  • You partner with internal customers within Credendo’s business lines in order to be informed of their business evolutions in order to gather and globalise their needs across the business lines.
  • You support internal customers in their procurement processes and help them determine the best procurement strategy in relation to their needs.
  • You explore the market, develop a network of suppliers and track down business opportunities.
  • Your main responsibilities include the management of the procurement process, from the determination of operational needs to the negotiation and conclusion of contracts with suppliers, whether or not in the context of public procurement.
  • You ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, different rules and regulations and CSR objectives.
  • You negotiate with suppliers to get the best value for money and defend Credendo’s interests.
  • You manage relationships with suppliers, not only to meet quality standards, delivery deadlines and general conditions, but also to ensure that contracts are always adapted to the company's needs.
  • You will be part of a team of procurement professionals and report directly to the Procurement Coordinator.

Profile

  • You hold at minimum a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and have at least 5 years of relevant experience in strategic procurement.
  • Experience with public procurement law is a plus.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of French (mother tongue level) and show good oral and written languages skills in English and Dutch.
  • You have an analytical and synthetic mind and a critical attitude.
  • You have good negotiation skills and you are fluent in dealing with stakeholders (both internal and external).
  • You have a drive for ownership and results.
  • You are result driven and customer oriented. You are a good listener, and you can adapt well to different situations.
  • You have a high level of integrity and strong sense of procurement ethics.
  • You are a team player with an entrepreneurial spirit, a positive attitude, a hands-on mentality.
  • You are familiar with the most common MS Office programmes (Word, Excel, etc.). SAP knowledge is a plus.
