Conduct sourcing activities to identify potential new suppliers.
Prepare and send Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to selected suppliers.
Negotiate and secure the best commercial and technical terms with suppliers.
Ensure the quality of purchased items in collaboration with the Supplier Development Engineers team.
Secure and build up suppliers' production capacities.
Identify critical parts, organize technical reviews, and conduct post-mortem analyses with suppliers.
Implement collaborative actions to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate purchasing activities with R&D, engineering, system owners, and the entire manufacturing and supply chain teams.
Provide feedback to the R&D team regarding technological advancements available in the market.
Lead regular meetings with your dedicated Procurement Associate and Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) to track issues, action plans, and improvements related to your purchased commodities.
Define, approve, and implement sourcing strategies for your product categories.
Profile
A Master degree in mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, welding processes, coating processes are a must
A first experience (minimum 3 years) in the purchasing of high-tech equipment based on technical specifications and technical drawings
Knowledge of MS Office and SAP (MM)
Excellent negotiation, networking and persuasion skills
