Job description
USG Professionals is looking for a Test Analyst for our client in Brussels region. This can be either as a USG Project Consultant or on a freelance basis!
We are seeking a Mid-Level Test Analyst to join our team in Diegem, Belgium. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the AMOS BA stream with a focus on data migration testing. As a Mid-Level Test Analyst, you will design, execute, and maintain test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to identify test requirements, create test cases, and perform both manual and automated testing. Your role will involve analyzing defects, ensuring adherence to testing best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Strategy
- Analyze requirements and define test objectives, scope, and strategies.
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Identify key functional and non-functional testing requirements.
Test Execution & Defect Management
- Perform manual and automated testing across various platforms (web, mobile, API, etc.).
- Execute test cases, log defects, and track their resolution.
- Conduct regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements.
- Report test progress, risks, and results to stakeholders.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Recommend and implement testing best practices and process improvements.
- Support continuous integration and DevOps testing initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation.
- Provide detailed test reports and defect analysis to support decision-making.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and SDLC/STLC.
- Experience with test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
- Knowledge of manual and automated testing techniques.
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Qtest).
- Experience in automation testing tools.
- 3 or more years of experience in software testing.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Be able to perfectly communicate in English both orally and by writing.
- Have 2 or more years' experience in Aviation.
- Proven ability to manage projects and user testing.
- High proficiency in technical writing
- ISTQB Certification.
Preferred Skills (a plus, but not required)
- Have Experience with MIS Implementation Projects (ideally: Trax to AMOS).
- Speak French, Dutch or German
