For our client in the railway sector, we are looking for a EHS Engineer.
EHS engineer will ensure and provide a safe and healthy environment to our people and to our contractors during construction sites and projects.

Job description
Support Site EHS Manager:
- Assist with EHS Risk Assessments and emergency plan management.
- Help coordinate EHS activities, especially with other contractors or operation areas.
- Advise site personnel to prevent injuries, damage, fires, and pollution.
- Promote best practices, address violations, and provide EHS advice.
Develop EHS Management System:
- Help develop and maintain local EHS procedures (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
EHS Compliance:
- Ensure site activities comply with EHS plans and legal requirements.
Reporting and Review:
- Assist in accident reporting, investigation, and corrective action.
- Prepare monthly EHS reports and conduct site audits.
Performance Indicators:
- Track Injury Frequency Rate (IFR), severe accidents, health, and environmental metrics
Profile
- Engineering, business or environmental degree
- Health and safety qualification
- At least 1 year experience in environment, health and safety
- Experience in industry or plant strongly recommended
- Good knowledge and understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards
- Deep knowledge of local legal EHS requirements
- Teamwork and leadership
- Sufficiently mobile to work on different depots in Belgium (Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels)
- Fluency in French and Dutch (mandatory)
- Spirit of initiative and action
- Good communication skills
- Analytical and rigorous
- Good computer skills
- Continuous improvement tools
