Within the Finance department of bpost Belgium, we are looking for a Business Controller to support the Belgium Commercial activities. Do you have a keen analytical mind you want to put towards business challenges? Your mission:
 
As business controller for the Commercial department, you are responsible for:

  • Preparing, monitoring and presenting the monthly results and explaining variances compared to the forecast and previous years;
  • Developing, in close collaboration with the business, the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and long-term plans of the unit and its subsidiaries;
  • Performing ad hoc analysis to generate insights and using these to advise the management on ways to improve business performance;
  • Supporting business stakeholders in the preparation of investment plans, business cases and tenders;
  • Liaising with and providing input to the other Finance departments (Group control, Investor Relations, Financial Accounting);
  • Participate to projects within the finance team and within the business unit;
  • Assisting in generating ideas on how to improve financial processes within your scope.
 
You will report to and support the Finance & Controlling Manager.

Profile

Your profile:

You combine a proven track record in finance with solid communication- and interpersonal skills. More particularly, the ideal candidate should successfully demonstrate following experience & competences:

  • You hold a Master’s degree in finance and minimum 2 years of relevant experience in financial positions;
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English;
  • You have excellent analytical skills and are able to take both the helicopter perspective as well as dive into detailed analysis;
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and excellent organizational skills, including prioritization of your own tasks;
  • You are enterprising, you take initiative and you are a real problem solver;
  • You are a team player and have good communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with the team, build relationships with stakeholders across the business and the management;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
  • Knowledge of an ERP is an advantage;
