Job description
The Business Development Manager, will play an essential role. Your focus will be on acquiring new customers. You understand better than anyone that you must continue to invest in customer relationships, ensuring follow-up for our existing customers as well.
Business generation:
- You will leverage your knowledge of the market and opportunities to generate business. Building and maintaining your network is crucial for this.
- You will create an action plan to achieve your commercial objectives, and preferably, even exceed them.
- Proactively and in a planned way, you will approach new customers and prospects with a value proposition.
- You will visit customers because you know better than anyone that this is how you can ensure more sustainable customer relationships.
Account management:
- You will build strategic partnerships with your customers.
- Retention is essential; intensifying customer relationships is even better. You will always be on the lookout for new opportunities.
- You will closely monitor the services provided to customers and their quality. If you notice any issues, you will investigate and ensure a quick solution or escalation.
- You will prepare match reports (comparing quotes to actual delivered packages) and analyze them in detail. You will negotiate, renew, and finalize agreements.
- You will help develop and integrate new products for customers.
Administration and follow-up:
- You will follow up on the pipeline and forecast on a monthly basis.
- Our CRM system, Salesforce, is your tool for all reports and accounts. You will ensure that the information is always up to date.
Profile
- You preferably have a Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or business administration.
- You have 3-4 years of experience in a similar sales role in B2C and/or B2B.
- Experience in the transport sector is a must: the world of packages and last-mile delivery is familiar to you.
- Knowledge of the food sector is a plus, but an interest in it is certainly a must.
- You are fluent in Dutch, and knowledge of French and English is definitely an asset.
- You are strong in communication, and networking is second nature to you.
