One of the most important things an entrepreneur must do, but which is the hardest to do, is build a network. We help them to do just that. Connecting the dots, having and using a broad network of your own, are big pluses.
Over the past 10 years, Start it has grown into the largest startup community in Belgium.

The Locations
We have hubs (coworking spaces) in Antwerp, Ghent, Hasselt, Leuven, Kortrijk, Brussels, Liège, Budapest, Gyor, Prague and a ‘pied à terre’ in New York and San Francisco.
You’ll mostly work from our space in Antwerp. But hey, we love to mix it up! You'll also get to travel between our coworking spaces in Ghent, Brussels, Kortrijk, Hasselt, Leuven, and Liège.

Intern Event Management

Job description

What’s your role?

Event Maestro | Plan, organize, and manage all our events. From two-day bootcamps for 120 startup founders to graduation parties, you'll be at the heart of the action. This includes: location hunting, registration setup, invites, design, supplier sourcing, show scripting, speaker management, etc.
Project Manager | Oversee program milestones across all running projects & collaborate together with other teams (f.e. marcom team) to get stuff done.
Research Project | Based on your personal interest we always look for an exciting project you can complete besides your day-to-day role. (f.e. AI in events)

Profile

Who’re we looking for?

Structured, autonomous organizer | Ideally has worked in an environment of supporting small teams, with plenty of autonomy. Strong organizational skills.
Interest in startups | A keen interest in startups, entrepreneurship & innovation.
Getting stuff done-mentality | Preference for candidates who are happy to create processes from scratch and can offer suggestions to improve our model.
Adaptability Ninja | Stay flexible and pivot quickly in our fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.
Comms | Ideally fluent in Dutch and English.
Travel | Happy to travel within Belgium - we operate 6 locations in Belgium.
Availability | You’re available for 5 days a week for a period of 4 - 6 months.
Tech Savvy | We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid of tools and always looks to do things faster, smarter & better using technology.
