The Finance Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial governance, optimizing cash flow, maintaining regulatory compliance, and establishing themselves as a true Finance Business Partner to senior management and various departments.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Partner with business units to provide actionable financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leadership team.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Manage cash flow to ensure operational liquidity and stability.
  • Implement effective credit management strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  • Develop and monitor financial performance metrics (KPIs) to track success.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to ensure operational integrity.
  • Oversee corporate tax compliance and optimize tax planning in line with Belgian and EU regulations.
  • Ensure accurate VAT compliance and filings across all applicable jurisdictions.

Profile

Candidate Profile

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in finance and administrative roles, ideally in multinational and high-growth environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP/IFRS.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French or German is highly advantageous.
