Design Engineer – European Technology Centre

Job description

Join Plastipak’s European Technology Centre (ETC) in Brecht, Belgium, and help lead the way in sustainable packaging solutions. As a Design Engineer, you will transform ideas into reality, using cutting-edge CAD technology and collaborating with a talented team. This role offers the chance to innovate, grow, and make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create 3D designs and detailed production models.
  • Develop innovative packaging designs from concept to market.
  • Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Analyze customer needs and provide technical solutions.
  • Optimize designs for technical feasibility and transport efficiency.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical/Packaging Engineering.
  • Proficiency in 3D design software (CATIA, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Knowledge of packaging materials and design principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
