KBC Asset Management creates and manages investment funds for clients in Belgium and abroad – good for a total of 110 billion euro of managed assets. As our Fixed Income & Equity Trader, you support the Dealing & Swap Desk (ADE): the team responsible for the execution of orders for the funds and mandates we manage. This includes order processing for shares, obligations, futures and OTC derivatives.

In this function, you continuously sharpen your technical expertise and build valuable work relationships. You work closely with portfolio managers, strategists, risk functionaries, and colleagues from the middle and back offices. At the same time, you have a lot of contact with external partners, including brokers, counterparties and platform vendors. Does that sound good to you?

• You perform transactions (fixed income and equity trades) where you make sure of accurate, optimised execution on the world markets.


• You work on the management and improvement of our transaction cost analysis (TCA) tools.


• You use your knowledge of MATLAB and MS Access to optimise workflows and improve trading processes.


• You regularly report to different commissions – such as the Financial Risk Committee (FRC) for the assessment of counterparties – on topics such as volume and hit-rate monitoring, and the list of approved counterparties.


• You contribute to various projects, such as the launch of new types of funds, the introduction of new financial instruments at KBC AM, the onboarding of new markets or counterparties, or liquidity contingency planning.
