Electrical Project Engineer
Job description
Equans is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer for the Sustainable Energetic Solutions (SES) department in Grimbergen or Fleurus.
Become a crucial link in our E&I team and lead the electrical aspects of various projects. From engineering to site coordination, your expertise ensures that every project is executed perfectly. In this position, you will work at one of the two locations, depending on the projects and your preference.

Are you up for it?
You are responsible for managing the electrical part of the assigned projects.
- you report to the Project Manager/Engineer coordinating the various disciplines within a project
- develop electrical engineering while considering customer requirements and specifications, in accordance with applicable standards and legislation
- based on this, create specifications to send to subcontractors (internally or externally)
- select suppliers and subcontractors according to applicable procedures
- assist the purchasing department during the procurement phase
- organize project tasks to achieve quality, time, and cost objectives
- support the project manager in drafting and following up on the engineering and execution schedule
- coordinate the work of subcontractors in the different phases of the project, from engineering to commissioning, considering all specifications and applicable standards and legislation
- actively participate in the commissioning of installations (cold, hot & start-up)
- contribute to the safety policy on site (including supervision) and actively support the quality policy
- participate in HAZOP sessions and perform SIL calculations
Profile
- a technical engineering degree or equivalent through experience
- proven experience in industrial projects (high voltage, low voltage, instrumentation, control systems (PLC, DCS))
- a broad electrical culture; training is provided for any missing experience
- participate in safety follow-ups and act accordingly
- result-oriented work ethic
- an innate sense of organization and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- a sense of responsibility and genuine leadership skills
- you know how to work independently but value teamwork and can demonstrate true listening and empathy
- your communication and reporting are clear, concise, and effective
- the human aspect is important to you
- you are mobile, flexible, and willing to travel abroad (Belgium and neighboring countries) during project execution
- you speak French, English, and Dutch
