Product Life Department
NN Belgium is looking for a dynamic and solution-oriented business manager (perfectly Dutch or French speaking) who will follow up the developments and coordinate the implementation of new governance, rules and regulation (in the broad sense) within the Product Department Life Insurance. He/she reports to the Head of Product Department.

Product Risk & Control Manager - NN Insurance
Job description
- You act as an expert within the Product Department, scoping, coordinating and reviewing product initiatives from the perspective of risk, regulation and compliance. This includes leading a transversal Community in the Product Department to ensure that all regulatory, compliance and governance topics are consistently implemented across all product lines and segments.
- You engage with other departments to ensure the end-to-end execution of processes in relation to your domain of expertise (Risk, Compliance, or Legal Departments), in a steering way, at the heart of the organization, acting as a “First Line Risk and Compliance” within the Product Department.
- You take ownership of the Product Department’s responses to regulatory initiatives (new regulation, questions from regulators, remediation plans, audit findings, etc), coordinating our responses internally and externally, including with the FSMA, the Executive Committee or the Board of Directors.
- You take ownership of the Department’s policies and procedures.
- You follow developments in the field of regulation, risk and compliance, through participating to internal (NN Group) and external (Assuralia) forums.
Profile
- You have obtained an economic or legal Master degree or equivalent through experience.
- You have a genuine interest for governance, compliance and risk management topics, understanding the value for insurance companies to control risks along their processes.
- You have established project management skills and ability to coordinate various stakeholders.
- You have the ability to work efficiently in a first line environment, where pragmatism and result orientation is of an essence, where managing multiple priorities and high workload are day-to-day life.
- You have at least five years of experience in relevant fields, in particular compliance (e.g. IDD, Value For Money), (operational) risk management and/or internal control. Exposure to Product Development field would be an asset.
- You have an excellent knowledge of English and of French OR Dutch (with a good understanding of the other language).
- You are analytical, entrepreneurial, result-oriented, resilient, communicative with good writing skills.
